Most of the small molecules, forced out of the glomerular capillaries by the high blood pressure, are useful to the body and are quickly reabsorbed back into the bloodstream from the filtrate. Urea, a small molecule formed from the deamination of amino acids in the liver, is poisonous and is therefore not reabsorbed but flows uninterrupted to the bladder and is excreted in urine.
